Kara Morris is serving as the Acting Executive Director for both Corsica River Mental Health Services and Crossroads Community, Inc. She also continues as Program Director for Crossroads, overseeing Residential Recovery, Community Recovery, Respite, Health Home, and Vocational services. In her dual role, Kara works with directors, coordinators, and staff to ensure effective operations, guide strategic goals, and maintain high-quality services.
With a career rooted in rehabilitation and community service, Kara Morris has dedicated her professional life to helping individuals achieve stability, recovery, and wellness. She earned both her Bachelor of Science in Rehabilitation Services (2003) and Master of Science in Rehabilitation Counseling (2005) from the University of Maryland Eastern Shore, where she also completed an internship with the Maryland Division of Rehabilitation Services.
Kara joined Crossroads Community in 2014 as an Employment Specialist, bringing a passion for supporting individuals through meaningful work opportunities. Her leadership quickly became evident, and she advanced through roles as PRP Program Coordinator and then RRP/PRP Program Coordinator, where she guided program development and staff growth. In 2021, Kara was named Program Director, overseeing a broad range of behavioral health services and ensuring quality support for individuals and families. Her commitment and vision led to her appointment as Acting Executive Director in 2025, where she now provides organizational leadership and strategic direction for Crossroads Community.
She holds multiple professional certifications, including Certified Psychiatric Rehabilitation Practitioner (CPRP), Child & Family Resiliency Practitioner, and Registered Peer Supervisor. Outside of her professional role, Kara is actively involved in her community through her church, the Kent County Farm Bureau, Gunston School, and 4-H, among others.
Kara lives in Kent County with her husband, Bradley, and their children, Oliver and Cecilia.

															Paula is responsible for overseeing the full range of our programs and services. This includes managing our mobile treatment teams, substance use disorder (SUD) services, care coordination efforts, and the therapists who provide direct care to our clients.
															Amy plays a critical role in overseeing the finance department, ensuring accuracy and accountability in all financial matters. She manages daily operations such as budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting, while also supporting long-term planning and organizational sustainability.
															Kelsey manages the HR Department, where she focuses on effective recruitment, employee engagement, and compliance with labor regulations. Additionally, she oversees Quality & Compliance, ensuring that our organization maintains high standards and adheres to regulatory guidelines.
															Kyle oversees all communications, including marketing, fundraising, events, and the organization’s online presence. He also manages IT and supports internal operations to improve efficiency and alignment. His leadership positions the organization for long-term growth by ensuring its message, systems, and outreach work seamlessly together.
															Dr. Pezor, serving as our medical director, plays a crucial role in providing comprehensive clinical oversight for all of our mental health services. He is responsible for guiding the overall clinical direction of the care team, ensuring that best practices are followed, and that patient care meets the highest standards.
															Kristy is responsible for managing our Residential Recovery (RRP) program, where she plays a pivotal role in ensuring that the program runs smoothly and effectively. In this capacity, she oversees daily operations and staff coordination.
															Deanna is responsible for overseeing our Community Recovery (PRP) program as well as our Respite Care Program. In her role, she ensures that both programs are effectively managed and meet the needs of the individuals we serve.
															Brian manages our vocational program and leads the employment specialists, playing a key role in helping individuals reach their career goals. He develops strategies focused on skill development, job placement, and career advancement.
															Dottie manages our health home program, providing individualized care that empowers participants to take control of their health and prevent chronic conditions. She develops customized care plans tailored to each participant’s unique needs.
															Ja’Keira oversees quality and compliance across our programs, ensuring that services meet the highest standards and follow all regulatory requirements. She monitors processes, provides guidance, and supports staff in maintaining practices that keep clients safe and care effective.
															Melanie provides program support for Corsica River Mental Health Services, helping ensure daily operations run smoothly and efficiently. She assists staff, coordinates resources, and supports client services so that programs can deliver consistent, high-quality care.
															Will leads the Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) team, coordinating intensive, community-based services for individuals with complex behavioral health needs. He guides staff in providing wraparound support that helps clients maintain stability, independence, and recovery in their daily lives.
